Internet Providers in Albuquerque, New Mexico

Most residents in Albuquerque have access to a wired high-speed internet provider, but that access doesn’t come with a lot of options. Xfinity has a monopoly on the high-speed internet market, offering 10 times the speed of other companies in the city and the advantage of a reliable wired connection.

Xfinity’s cable internet service covers 98.8% of Albuquerque, meaning there aren’t many areas where you can’t get service. The only exceptions to Xfinity’s universal coverage are a few spots in downtown, Martineztown-Santa Barbara, and a few places in Uptown and Vista Encantada. The rest of the city will have access to Xfinity’s high-speed cable internet.

Xfinity also offers limited fiber internet in Albuquerque, covering scattered areas along the length of the Pan American Freeway, the southern part of Old Town Albuquerque, a stretch of South Broadway along Broadway Boulevard Southeast, the west side of Journal Center and all of Mesa del Sol.

If you live in one of the rare areas not covered by one of Xfinity’s services, like homes in Stronghurst along Arno Street Northeast, CenturyLink is an alternative option. However, it operates on a DSL network that offers slower speeds.
