Cox (now Spectrum) Internet Availability Map
Cox (now part of Spectrum) offers Fiber-Powered Internet services across 18 states, with significant coverage in Rhode Island, Nevada, and Arizona. Reaching over 20.7 million people, the network covers major metropolitan areas like Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Oklahoma City.
As part of the Spectrum family, Cox no longer relies on outdated “cable” terminology; instead, the network combines fiber technology with an advanced HFC infrastructure to deliver fast, consistent performance across the country. Spectrum Internet® is powered by fiber and connected to the premises by coaxial lines.

Cox Internet Speeds
Cox utilizes Spectrum’s advanced Hybrid Fiber-Coax (HFC) network for the delivery of broadband services. Fiber runs from the network hub to a neighborhood node, then coax carries the signal to the premises. This delivers meaningfully better performance: Gig speeds everywhere and multi-gig speeds in select areas. The fiber backbone reduces congestion and improves reliability versus older all-coax networks.
Additionally, new communities in the Cox service area are receiving Spectrum 100% Fiber, which runs all the way to the home with no coax at all, delivering symmetrical speeds up to 2 Gig, ultra-low latency, and zero shared-bandwidth congestion.
