Internet Providers in Greenville, North Carolina

Greenville residents have 11 internet providers to choose from, but with sporadic coverage across the city, it might be challenging to figure out the best choice. Options are mostly limited to a single provider for wired connections, such as cable and fiber, and availability is rather low.

Optimum is the singular choice for accessing a quality cable connection in The Emerald City. The provider only covers 49.0% of the city, with strong connections in the Lakewood Pines, River Road Minor and Brook Valley areas. Residents located near the Pitt-Greenville Airport can also take advantage of Optimum coverage. However, Greenville residents living north of the Tar River toward the city’s east end are outside the provider’s area.

Greenville residents may be in luck with fiber internet from Metronet or Brightspeed. Metronet’s fiber coverage is limited, however, covering 58.4% of the city. It covers Chatham Circle, Green Springs, Coghill and Vintage Grove. It doesn’t have a strong presence in Uptown District or Greenville Heights.

Brightspeed offers both fiber and DSL, but DSL coverage is larger than its fiber presence. Its fiber coverage is most prominent at College Park Apartments and Biltmore, but most areas don’t fall within its zones.
