Internet Providers in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Myrtle Beach residents have several types of wired internet connections available. Their availability depends on the neighborhood in which you live, though, so let’s examine the areas where the providers offer service.

Myrtle Beach residents have three options for fiber internet: HTC, EarthLink, and Frontier. HTC has wider availability in the city, while EarthLink’s and Frontier’s coverage extends across 6.2% and 2.7%, respectively.

Native to South Carolina, HTC features sweeping coverage along the Atlantic Ocean’s coast from North Myrtle Beach to Garden City Beach and inland to Conway. The provider has dead spots in some areas, however, including near Myrtle Beach International Airport and the Oakland Heights neighborhood.

EarthLink’s and Frontier’s coverage areas are both limited and tricky to pinpoint. The latter’s primary coverage areas are along the coast, stretching from Myrtle Heights to 8th Avenue North, toward the city center. Frontier is also available around the Carrie May Johnson area.

Spectrum leads the charge with sweeping cable coverage for Grand Strand residents, covering 88.9% of the city. With wide availability across the shore, Spectrum covers areas outside of HTC’s zone, including the airport’s surrounding neighborhoods. Inland, Spectrum boasts plenty of availability on both sides of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway. Coverage is lacking in some areas, most notably in Fantasy Harbour and Queen’s Cove.
