What Is Astound Broadband Powered by Wave?
Astound Broadband started as RCN Telecom Services, a provider of cable TV, broadband internet, and telephone services in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 2017, Wave Broadband was purchased by TPG Capital for $2.36 billion, creating Astound Broadband Powered by Wave. Currently, it offers both high-speed cable and fiber internet, home phone service, DVR, HDTV, and TV on demand. Customers are happy with its gigabit speeds and efficient customer service, as well as high-value bundles that include phone, internet, and TV.
Astound Broadband Powered by Wave has coverage in towns and cities up and down the West Coast, including San Francisco, Sacramento, Oregon City, Seattle, and many smaller towns. The company has changed hands a few times over the years, but it still offers the same services in each area, making it a safe bet for customers.

Excellent Service
During the year that I have the service, it was excellent. When I called for first time, I noticed the excellent customer service. Now that I'll move to other place, they handle also the cancellation of the service pretty fast. Connection was good, I was able to get my own modem without any issue. i miss Wave Broadband since the new location does not have their services.
The least reliable internet I've ever had.
Not bad internet when it actually works but it is the least reliable service I've ever seen. Make sure you have a phone with hotspot capabilities.
Excellent service for a high speed connection
Wave has been excellent service at a fantastic price for a high-speed connection. We have had maybe 3 loss of service in 14 months that lasted for maybe an hour.
Wave review
Since getting Wave, our internet is constantly kicking me off. I thought it was range, so we got a better (very expensive) modem that they recommended. Within a year, it didn't seem to solve the problem, so they said the modem was bad and we needed a new one. Now, we've got an even bigger/better one. I work from home and when I can't connect, I don't get paid. I now have to go back to a landline w/ DSL (if I can even find it) so I can make a living.
Nothing but greatness
I was extremely happy with their prices, download speed, and consistency. Very bummed that I'm moving to an area they don't service.
Good. Not great.
Customer service is great, but there can be long hold times. We pay for 55 Mbps but usually only get about 20. Internet and phone go down about once every month or two. Have had issues with internet and phone much more frequently in the last 2 months. Service went out for us and only us for no reason in June. The technician came out and fixed it. Happened again a few weeks later. Technician came out again and fixed it. Ever since then, service would go out for us and only us about once a day in most of August. When the technicians came out a third time, they didn't do anything because the internet and phone were working when they were there. Haven't had any further problems with internet in the last 2 weeks, but there was a problem with the phone service yesterday. I would switch to another provider if I could, but I live in an apartment and I don't know if DSL would be able to handle all of our devices. Plus Wave is cheaper. If you don't mind occasional outages and don't use more than 400 gigabytes of data, then Wave would probably be an okay option. If you're looking for a reliable telephone and internet service, or use more than 400 gigabytes of data then I recommend other providers.
Solid Purchase
Wave has been the best internet provider that we have had since we moved to the bay area. Others charge way too much and were slower connection for a similar price.
Better than most
Provided the service I needed and at a fair price. Anytime I called, they were pleasant and professional.
Reliable service
Customer service and reliability have been good. Speed would vary due to the distant and traffic on cable. Value seems to be equal to other cable/internet systems.
