Great provider since 2017
Started trying to get them to cross the county line between Abbeville and Greenwood when they were just starting in Abbeville. After a discussion with the South Carolina PSC and WCTel we had to wait several years until they started moving into Greenwood County. I signed up as soon as I knew they were near the Greenwood County line. On their blog at the GigUpGreenwood, I asked all my neighbors to sign up. Although not the first neighborhood we were pleasantly surprised we were able to get service within a couple of years. Many thanks to Mr. Powell, one of our new neighbors for spearheading our efforts. They have been a blessing to every customer I have talked with. The service is excellent and the speeds are absolutely amazing. The price is reasonable. For someone that was paying Centurylink >$100 per month for landline and spotty 0.7meg, it is a long-awaited blessing. The monopoly has finally been disrupted. We welcome good service, good management, good workers, good contractors and excellent performance from WCTel. A most diverse company with many skills. I had mine installed in the fall of 2019 and a year later I don't remember but one outage that was restored in a couple of hours after someone dug up the fiber on our street. Keep up the good work, WCTel!
Super Fast Speeds!
I have had WCTEL internet since January of 2019. I had the 60x60Mbps plan for $40.00 and never once had a problem with lagging or buffering. I just got a letter in the mail saying that they are going to up my speed to 200x200Mbps for no additional cost! What a great company!
